Alba De Miguel Fuertes – Dance artist & Choreographer

Alba De Miguel is a multidisciplinary contemporary artist whose primary language is movement. Based between Berlin and Spain, she creates work at the intersection of contemporary dance, physical theatre, and performance art.

Graduating with honors from the Royal Conservatory of Professional Dance Mariemma (Madrid) and continuing her studies at SEAD – Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance, Alba began choreographing with Camino (Arte en la Tierra, 2017). Later that year she relocated to Berlin, performing full-time with cie. Toula Limnaios from 2017 to 2021, contributing to five new creations and extensive repertoire tours across Europe and abroad.

Since 2022, she has focused on creating interdisciplinary works where gesture and the poetics of the body take center stage. She is the artistic director of PERMEABLE BODIES (premiered at Säälchen, Holzmarkt Berlin, 2024), presented at Atoll Festival, Aerial Arts Festival Berlin, Societätstheater Dresden, and in Denmark, and co-director of CATOPTRIC (2023).

Her solo G R I E T A S (2024–2025), conceived for non-conventional spaces, premiered at Festival Sierra Sonora and has toured widely in Spain, appearing at Pies para que los Quiero, 5Fest RCPDM, Teatro Mercado Zaragoza, Danzad Malditos Pamplona, Escenario Vivo, and Festival Bañarte.

Alba’s practice also expands into gallery and installation work. She created La Obra de la Obra (2024) at ESDIR Gallery in La Rioja and Bajo Mi Camino (2017), a video-dance installation exhibited across museums and galleries in Spain.

Recipient of the La Rioja Award for Artistic Creation (2024), she developed Cuestión de Identidad, a community art project with a strong local impact. She is currently creating PERPETUA in collaboration with artist Miguel González Padilla.

Alongside her own projects, Alba collaborates as a performer with Joy Alpuerto Ritter with the Wizard of Oz (Tanzkomplizen, IKARUS Prize 2023), Nico and the Navigators, and since September 2025 collaborating with the company Peeping Tom for Triptych. She also performs in Komische Oper Berlin’s production Pferd Frisst Hut and the Staatsoper Berlin.

Her work seeks to dissolve boundaries between dance, theatre, and performance, exploring how the body interacts with space and symbolism from a deeply contemporary and transdisciplinary perspective.
