Alba De Miguel Fuertes - Dancer & Choreographer

After graduating from the University of La Rioja as a teacher of physical education (2011), she moved to Madrid where she also graduated as a professional dancer of contemporary dance (2015). Nevertheless, she decided to extend her professional dance career at SEAD “Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance” in Salzburg, Austria.

In 2015 she joined the company “InPut”. With them and the choreographer Aila Etxegaray, she perfomed and created different pieces, for example “De relaciones va la cosa” & "Kilometros".
As a choreographer, she presented her first own project “Camino” in the summer of 2017 inside the festival “Arte en la Tierra”, La Rioja, Spain.
In 2017 she decided to move to Berlin where she is still currently base. There, she initially worked as an indipendent artist with different freelance choreographers, musicians and visual artists. At the end of 2017, she joined one of the most recognized companies in Germany, “Toula Limnaios”, as a full-time-performer. With Toula, she has performed in international and national theaters: Armenia, Jordan, Nicaragua, Trinidad and Tobago, Greece, Italy, Romania, Serbia, Russia and Spain.

Since 2022, Alba has returned to freelancing, collaborating as a performer with companies and artists such as Joy Alpuerto Ritter, Nico and the Navigators, and BlackBox Circus. She has also focused on developing her choreographic work, co-directing “CATOPTRIC” (2023) and acting as artistic director for the production “PERMEABLE BODIES” (2024), both premiered in Berlin and combining contemporary dance with circus arts.

In 2024, she created “G R I E T A S”, a solo piece blending contemporary dance and physical theater, designed for non-conventional spaces. The production is currently touring in Spain and Germany (2024–2025).
Alba is currently performing in Komische Oper Berlin’s production “Pferd Frisst Hut” while continuing to tour “G R I E T A S” and “PERMEABLE BODIES”.
